It’s nice to meet you. This is Tego Security a brand new Cyber Security company with a mission to make the internet a safer place!

It’s run by me Josjuar Lister a lover of networking 🌐 and hacking 👀

Since being a child I’ve loved computers. I remember as a youngster my Dad taught me how to code in html, with his guidance I designed a simple website. I named it webwire and was SO Proud of it!

From that time until now I’ve loved to expand my knowledge, tinkering, coding and hacking! In recent years I’ve started down the path of Cyber Security and I’ve never been more hooked!

So…

What’s The Plan?

The goal of Tego Security is to help bring the core concepts of defence in depth used to secure the parameters of big companies to the everyday people like you and me. Using modern, up-to-date methods of preventing, detecting and responding to the attempts of bad actors to exploit our systems and threaten our private information. Tego Security should be and will strive to be affordable to anyone while also making it easy to setup and use our services without needing advanced computer knowledge.

But for those Power Users out there⚡, Tego will also sport advanced features for configuring dynamic cloud based infrastructures!

What’s in the pipeline?

I’m currently developing my first project under the name of Tego Security. For years I’ve used cloud machines to host a private VPN for me and my family in order to protect us as we use the internet and I want to develop a web service to allow others to do the same thing.

It’s great having the family connected through a VPN. Our traffic is protected against Man In The Middle attacks even if we are using some Open Café WiFi. All network traffic for my family can be filtered, analysed and defended using automated system… I even set up a Bind DNS server so we can host private web services that can only be accessed through the VPN by members of our family!

Such services could be so valuable to small business owners who want the same kind of network infrastructure and protection without needing such a large budget.

What else is in store for the future?

In time I want to also focus on educating people in online security. I plan to create a few capture the flag challenges to show those new to the space how to hack and even to allow experienced hackers to sharpen their skills.

I also plan to write up articles and tutorials demonstrating various things I learn along the way.

And I can also help out any businesses or organisations near the area where I’m based by conducting penetration tests on their Networks to help them improve their security!
