A company called Cerize Tours has asked Tego Security to help them construct their new web app! I’m really excited to be a part of it!

What is the purpose of cerizetours.com?

Cerize Tours offer beautiful 3 or 4 day tours of the romantic city of Paris. It’s an all-inclusive package that includes a boat ride along the Seine River, a tour of the magnificent Château de Versailles, and a stroll down the iconic Champs-Élysées. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned traveler, their tours will offer a unique and unforgettable experience.

With Cerizetours.com, you will be able to book your trip and customise your itinerary to your liking. Our user-friendly website will make booking your trip quick and easy.

How we plan to secure the site

As a cyber security company, our focus is on securing the web. So in our development of Cerizetours.com we want to employ all of the modern standards in web app security.

What is one easy way of developing secure web apps? Using a secure framework!

Yes, using a framework like Laravel is generally considered a secure way of developing web applications. That’s why we are building this app in Laravel!

Laravel is a popular PHP web framework that prioritizes security and provides built-in features to help developers avoid common security pitfalls.

Laravel provides a number of features to help secure web applications, including:

• Protection against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks
• Automatic encryption of user passwords using the bcrypt algorithm
• Built-in protection against SQL injection attacks
• Protection against cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks
• Secure session management using encrypted cookies

In addition to these security features, Laravel also follows the principle of “secure by default”, meaning that it is designed to prevent developers from accidentally introducing security vulnerabilities.

However, it is important to note that no framework can completely eliminate the risk of security vulnerabilities. Developers still need to be aware of best practices for secure coding and follow industry standards for security, such as OWASP’s Top Ten Web Application Security Risks.

So as we develop the site and test it’s features we will continually work towards mitigating all these security risks and test, test, test!
